Rajma Gravy  ( easy version ) / ராஜ்மா கிரேவி


Serves: 3 

Preparation time: 8 hours 

Cooking time: 30 minutes 


INGREDIENTS: 

2 cups Rajma 

1 onion sliced

1 green chilli 

Ginger small piece 

1 cup tomato purée 

1/4 tsp turmeric powder 

1/2 tsp chilli powder 

1/4 tsp coriander powder 

1/2 tsp garam masala powder 

Coriander leaves 

Salt 

2 tsp oil 


2 கப் ராஜ்மா

1 வெங்காயம் வெட்டப்பட்டது

1 பச்சை மிளகாய்

இஞ்சி சிறிய துண்டு

1 கப் தக்காளி ப்யூரி

1/4 தேக்கரண்டி மஞ்சள் தூள்

1/2 தேக்கரண்டி மிளகாய் தூள்

1/4 தேக்கரண்டி கொத்தமல்லி தூள்

1/2 தேக்கரண்டி கரம் மசாலா தூள்

கொத்துமல்லி தழை

உப்பு

2 தேக்கரண்டி எண்ணெய்


1. Soak Rajma for 8 hours. Pressure cook for 5-6 whistles with salt and water 

2. In a blender jar, add sliced onion and ginger. Grind into a fine paste 

3. In a bowl, add turmeric powder, chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well 

4. In a Kadai, add oil and green chili 

5. Add onion paste and cook for 3 minutes on medium flame 

6. Add salt and masala powder 

7. Mix well and add tomato purée 

8. Cook for 3 minutes

9. Add garam masala powder and cooked rajma 

10. Mix well and add water required for the gravy 

11. Cover cook for 5 minutes on medium flame 

12. Add chopped coriander leaves and cook for a minute 

13. Turn off heat and serve hot
