Welcome to my blog. 

Adukalaii - My kitchen, is my blog started to share my recipes with you all. The name " Adukalaii" is often used in Kanyakumari (the Southernmost district in Tamil Nadu) and Kerala to refer Kitchen. When I wanted to name my blog, I was searching for a traditional name and finally ended up with this term, which I often use in my day to day life. One of my friends, insists me to start a blog after seeing my recipes which I shared on my facebook. Blogging now :) !!  

Let me share about myself. I, Meena Nageswaran, an engineering graduate, currently shifted to Singapore after I marry my husband. Interest in cooking started when I was doing my 9th standard, to make noodles for my daddy (Nageswaran, the man behind me in all aspects). As everyone says cooking starts with 2 min noodles and boiling water, yes even I started the same way.  I'm a foodie person, loves to eat different cuisine so I started making noodles in different ways to satisfy my tongue. Day by Day my interest in food and cooking increased and took me to next level. Learnt traditional cooking as well as cuisines which were not familiar to my mother (Chenbagavalli, best critic for my recipes and amazing cook). Now I cook to satisfy my tongue and for my lovable husband, Perumal (only cooks for me)  :) impress me with his amazing recipes. 

People often ask me " Is cooking is a big thing? why you always talk about food and cooking? - For them, all my answer is " Yes !! its a big business to add the proper amount of spices, mix the correct ingredients and present it :) especially make an edible food is a big thing :) :) " 

You can learn many recipes from various cuisines from my blog. Cook nice food, eat well and be strong and healthy !! Cheers
