Ingredients :
- 1 Cup Toor Dal
- 10 Garlic
- 1 Onion Chopped
- 2 Dried Red Chilli
- 1/2 Tablespoon Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 Tablespoon Mustard Seeds
- 1 Green Chilli
- 1/2 Tablespoon Ginger
- Curry Leaves
- Coriander leaves to garnish
- 1/2 Tablespoon Turmeric Powder
- 2 Tablespoon Coconut oil

Step By Step Picture Instructions :
- Soak toor dal for 10 minutes
- Pressure cook the soaked toor dal with turmeric powder
- Once pressure is released, mash the dal
- In a pan, temper cumin, mustard seeds, dried red chilli and curry leaves in coconut oil
- Add slit green chilli and ginger, roast for a minute
- Add garlic chunks and roast until golden brown
- Add finely chopped onion and saute
- Add the mashed dal and bring to boil
- Add 1/4 cup of water and boil for 5 minutes
- Add chopped coriander leaves to the dal
- Serve hot
